Malteurop North America, Inc. is seeking Industrial Electrician candidates for its Milwaukee, WI facility.
The Electrician performs work involving the skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to the operation.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, , natural gas burner systems and controls, power supplies, variable frequency drives, temperature controllers, lighting, actuators, gauges, sensors and test equipment.
2. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
3. Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OHS and Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety regulations (Canada) or OSHA requirements (US).
4. Advises operators, millwrights and appropriate management of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
ï‚· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
ï‚· Journeyman Electrician with at least 5 years working as such in an Industrial Environment. Strong ability to troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC industrial controls is a plus.
ï‚· Minimum 5 years of work experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
ï‚· Qualified candidates must have experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ï‚· Comprehensive knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
ï‚· Computer experience/operation and PLC programming is preferred.
ï‚· High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
